JINARC® is a medication that is prescribed to adults who have a high risk of
rapidly progressing Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) in
order to slow down the decline of their kidney function.
It has not been determined whether JINARC® is both safe & effective for
children.
Who should not take JINARC®?
Do not take JINARC® if you:
have a history of liver problems*
*This excludes those with polycystic liver disease who have liver problems.
have high or low sodium levels
are allergic to Tolvaptan
cannot feel thirst or unable to drink
are dehydrated
are unable to urinate
How do I enroll in the JINARC® RMP?
Consult your healthcare provider to know if you are eligible for Jinarc® treatment.
Complete liver function test (LFT) before treatment initiation. Your healthcare provider will give your Jinarc prescription once done with the review of your LFT results.
Enroll in the RMP by calling JINARC® Patient Support Team.
Complete liver function testing on the 2nd and 4th week of the 1st month of treatment, monthly for 2-18 months, and every 3 months thereafter.
